Under the patronage of Prof. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, the Iraqi Universities Football Championship concluded with Al-Maarif University crowned champion after defeating the University of Baghdad in an exciting penalty shootout. The event brought together 60 teams from various public and private universities across Iraq, drawing great enthusiasm from players and spectators alike.
Organized by the Ministry of Higher Education in cooperation with the University of Baghdad, the championship successfully revived university sports after more than a decade, promoting teamwork, leadership, and healthy competition among students.
